Tweet Published on 21st November 2014 in Blog, Mornington Peninsula EventsWhen hunger strikes on holiday and you've got a craving for Mexican delicacies, let Red Hill Brewery appease your appetite. Wine and beer tours are fantastic examples of what to do on Mornington Peninsula, and Red Hill Brewery presents an in-depth look of the peninsula's fantastic beer scene with a flavoursome twist.
Venture to the venue on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 14 November through to 26 April 2015 to experience the brewery's Summer Cantina. It boasts exquisite food provided by Mt Eliza's Manzana, a Mexican restaurant with a passion for good food and great tequila.
There will be a modern twist on street food at the Cantina, which will serve up fresh dishes from midday until 4 p.m. Modern flavours provide a unique take on classic Mexican meals, with tacos, gourmet burgers, sliders and ribs on the menu alongside the brewery's famous pints. Try out the fish taco, complete with chipotle rockling, pomegranate, passionfruit slaw, aioli, coriander and caper sour cream, and accompany it with some mouthwatering chilli fries.
The brewery is open from 1 a.m. until 7 p.m. in these warmer months, which gives you more opportunity than ever to sample its European-inspired beers in a rustic and relaxed bush setting. Be sure to try out brews from the core range, which includes pilsner, Scotch ale, golden Ale and wheat.
The experimental brewery creates beer in small batches and is also fond of limited releases, meaning you may be lucky enough to try an exclusive ale during your Cantina experience. Be sure to sample beer aged in spirit-soaked wood for something truly unique.
Best of all, Red Hill Brewery is less than a half hour's drive from Moonah Links, giving you easy access to the Cantina festivities.
