Point Nepean National Park
Explore Point Nepean National Park and soak up some of the most beautiful scenes anywhere on the peninsula. It's influential for helping to share Victoria's early settlement, quarantine and defence, and still has many relics left behind today to tell the story of its early days. If your kids aren't interested in the history, they're bound to enjoy the panoramic views across the Bass Strait, Port Phillip Bay and the Rip.
Hire a bike from the Information Centre and explore the gentle walking and cycling tracks around the park, stopping off the explore the historic Quarantine Station and other military tunnels and forts that reveal the park's past.
Enchanted Adventure Garden
Journey to Arthurs Seat to discover the Enchanted Adventure Garden, which offers mazes, gardens and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Try out the tube slides, where you slide down a hill on a single or double tube. There are also three hedge mazes for you to get lost in, one of which has a stunning Japanese garden waiting for you in the centre. Little ones will love the children's maze, where there's a cubby house, fairies, puzzles and more.
McClelland Sculpture Park and Gallery
Langwarrin's McClelland park has so much to offer people of all ages, with 16 hectares and more than 100 major outdoor sculptures for you to take in. The sculptures are nestled within forests, paths, landscaped gardens and lakes, with permanent collections and temporary exhibitions alike.
It's not just sculptures on display here, either. The McClelland collection consists of more than 2,200 works of art including paintings and photographs stretching back hundreds of years.
Rain Hayne and Shine Farmyard
Take a trip to Balnarring for a hands on experience with friendly, cuddly farm animals. The young and young at heart can feed animals, ride farm ponies and spot wallabies, emus and the farm's resident dingo. Pigs, ducks, goats and more can all be patted, cuddled and fed here, giving kids a hands-on experience to remember.
