Tweet Published on 15th October 2015 in Blog, Mornington Peninsula ActivitiesBursting with loads of activities and adventures for people of all ages, Victoria is perfect for a family holiday and you can't do much better than Mornington Peninsula. Once you've got your accommodations sorted, it's time to start working on the itinerary.
While you and your partner might be interested in Mornington Peninsula's award-winning vineyards, your kids probably have something a little different in mind for their activities. Here are three fantastic family-friendly attractions to keep your whole crew excited:
1. Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park

Victoria is renowned for its awesome wildlife, and the Moonlit Sanctuary is just the place for an up-close encounter.
Located at the top of Mornington Peninsula, this award-winning park gives the whole family a chance to see endangered species and even feed roos and wallabies. Your little ones (and big ones, too!) will probably jump at the chance to cuddle koalas, but that's not all this magical place offers.
You can walk around the 10-hectacre park during the day, meeting all kinds of colourful critters, but this park really transforms into something special when the sun goes down. You can set out on an evening tour guided by lanterns. This not only adds an air of mystique to the whole experience, it gives you the unique chance to see nocturnal animals, too.
2. Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens

What child doesn't love the idea of getting lost in a life-size puzzle? Ashcombe's spectacular hedge maze has thousands of metres of pathways made from over 1000 cypress trees. Winding through the curves and corners, your family will have a blast finding the way out. Yet that's not the only maze here: There's also a delightfully scented one made of roses.
From there, check out the gorgeous lavender gardens. Planted as a labyrinth, you can take a bit of time meditatively walking through the circular paths among 4000 lavender plants.
To keep the kids especially entertained, have them participate in the Great Gnome Hunt. There are a bunch of these cute garden statues hidden throughout the park, waiting to be discovered. Who can find the most?
3. Enchanted Adventure Garden
Offering a little of everything, the Enchanted Adventure Garden is a family wonderland. In addition to beautiful gardens and sculptures, you'll find plenty of activities to keep the kids active and enthralled. General admission includes indoor and outdoor mazes, tube slides and a canopy walk.
For youngsters and adults with adventurous hearts, you can also purchase tickets to climb up to the tree tops. The tree surfing experience includes more than 50 aerial obstacles, bridges and ziplines, with a separate course for the smaller participants. The Big Zip offers an unforgettable ziplining experience totaling 300 metres for those above 135 centimetres.
Your kids will be good and tired by the time you return to your Mornington Peninsula resort!
